Maculot Rockies dec15

The QC DogWalkers were invited by fellow dog hikers from the south, LPWK9, for a day hike to Mt. Maculot Dec. 15, 2007. We were joined by our ol' friends from Quezon, Bilog and Dollar, and new friends Carl and Marc from Cavite.

Though it was cold when the wind is blowing, it was a tiring climb because of the sun, naka-tirik siya, as in!!

We were at jump-off at around 8:45, got to the rockies base camp at 11:00 and were able to go down at around 4:30. A surprisingly fast climb with loads of rests.... am not sure kung bakit, but definitely counting the possibility of Bilog and Dollar's antics made us laugh all throughout kaya naging madali and super enjoyable ang climb

We were at base camp for 4 hours! having our halo-halo, ate our lunch (sarap ng sisig, puto at lomi ng batangas-yumyum), toasting and drinking (tagay) "champagne" complete with matching "wine glass" courtesy of Bilog and loads of pictorial time at the rockies haha!!

Proud kami ni Gravy that this was quite a model climb because environmental ethics were observed, dog hikers were conscentious on the trail-- walang kalat, naitabi ang poop, at other climbers enjoyed the climb and rests with us as well. It's a good feeling... and am proud na ipakilala sa ibang mountaineering groups that some peeps from LPWK9, QCDW, Quezon Dogsters and Mondio-Cavite are responsible dog hikers. Thanks very much guys!!

And of course the real stars of the climb deserve recognition for their generally good behavior: Minnie, Bleap, Dollar, Kovu and Vesper for a climb well done!!! Bonding, working, training, all rolled into one. Sarap talaga ng dog hiking!!!

There’s nothing like a break as rewarding as after a looong, rigorous hike!

Ito ang pinakamasarap na halo-halo!

Hindi lang pagod natin natatanggal pag kasama natin dogs sa akyatan, pati pagod ng fellow climbers nawawala dahil sa kanila :D
